Enjoying travel as part of life
Life requires a lot from us, which comprises balancing between work, family, self growth and being a good person in the society. Regardless of one’s culture or expected roles, there is always something that needs to be done, some responsibility that has to be fulfilled for a notable and successful life. However, is that mundane cycle all that life has to offer? Surely not. There is more to a successful life than that, one that includes taking a break, one that involves travelling.
To travel, going from one place to another has numerous benefits. For example, one finds a new sense of purpose as they discover more about themselves whilst relating to different people, one learns to appreciate where they come from much more, one realizes home is where you reside in harmony not just where one came from, one learns so much about the world and others, one discovers similarities in needs and wants across the globe, more friendships are made and retained, and there is connectedness, serendipity, synchronicity nd joy experienced in and through it. Looking at the personal benefit is gives, travelling is useful for the body and mind as it sharpens the mind since a new environment fires up synapses that are now required to process the change. Additionally, there is a shift of thinking about things and a creation of a new and better perspective because of the experiences, adventures, challenges and cultures. It also gives an opportunity to try new things and abandon one’s comfort zone, leading one to become a well-rounded individual. Other than new people and seeing things as they really are, there is also the chance of exercise and some sun, and feeling rested when coming back home, ready to continue with the responsibilities of life.
Vacations can be done differently: can be individual or with family, or with a group, can be a mountain or a beach adventure, and can be for many purposes. One’s work place could come up with team building trips, which help colleagues know each other well, to foster better working relationships at the workplace. These trips could be in one’s country or outside the country, and could comprise of hiking, kayaking, skiing, scavenger hunts, cook offs, karaoke nights, kart racing, board games tournaments, to name a few. The point of it all is to bond, learn, and have fun. Something else that would be fun to do is take boat trips. Such kind of trips are unique because they reduce hassle since transportation is by one means, travelling on top of water is both relaxing and rejuvenating, one can cover more areas in a shorter time than if connections had to be done by road, and it is perfect for romantic trips; seeing the sunset, different landscapes, amazing cities. Also, especially with cruises, the value given is usually an all-in-one deal, one can see numerous places and truly cover ground, they can be taken individually or with the family, there are a lot of activities on board, and honestly, they are just like floating cities.
Therefore, whatever the purpose of travel, whomever one will be travelling with, wherever one goes, and however one decides to spend time, just plan to travel, for the sake of oneself, and others too.
